Why is one of our focus on supplying food, clothes, some basic essentials as a way of alleviating poverty?
Hunger which can cause malnutrition in any age, is a complex issue influenced by multiple factors, and its root causes can be categorized into several interrelated areas. While the exact causes can vary depending on the context, the main root causes of hunger generally include, for example, Poverty and Economic Inequality which results in limited financial access, Unemployment and low wages and more.

Food Provision
Limited Financial Access:
People living in poverty often cannot afford enough food. Even in places with sufficient food supplies, the cost of food may be prohibitive for low-income households.
Unemployment and Low Wages: Lack of access to decent-paying jobs or unemployment can limit individuals' purchasing power, making it difficult for them to buy adequate food.

Clothes Provision
Although, providing clothes is a short-term solution rather than a comprehensive fix to the deeper and more systemic causes of poverty. However, in specific contexts and situations, distributing clothing can play a significant role in addressing immediate needs which is an important part of alleviating poverty and can also contribute to broader poverty alleviation efforts in the following ways:
In many societies, appropriate attire is required for job interview...

Basic essentials
Lack of access to basic essentials, e.g. hygiene products like soap, hand sanitiser, pad, or toothpaste can increase the likelihood of preventable diseases from arising, which can drain resources, increase medical costs, and productivity, perpetuating poverty. By providing, for example, hygiene essentials, you help reduce the incidence of illness, which is particularly important for vulnerable groups like children, the elderly, and those with compromised immune systems.
Together, we can alleviate poverty by saving lives, and bringing positive change to disadvantaged people living in poverty.
